STUDENTS AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING INC.
HOW IT STARTED
President and Founder of the Organization Ankith Sureddi was visiting his family in India during the summer vacation of his high school freshman year. While in India, he was introduced to a family friend at a party who worked with victims of human trafficking. After listening to some of the stories of the victims she told him about that evening, Ankith asked her if he could meet a few of the victims before he left India. As a compassionate person, the stories he heard that evening impacted him deeply. Several days later, he met with some of the victims and after speaking with them that day decided to advocate and raise money to help stop human trafficking and help victims who have been impacted by trafficking. Two additional members from his school were recruited by Ankith to assist with the organization's operations.

Ashwin Kishor
Vice President
Hey! I’m Ashwin Kishor, a stand-out class of 2026 high school student, and someone that won’t write my bio in 3rd person. I joined Students Against Human Trafficking to help stop this raging issue in our community. I was impacted when I heard stories of Indian women and children getting kidnapped in my grandparents’ hometown but didn’t realize the effect it had on our community in Palm Beach County. As someone in a communications program, I hope to utilize my advocacy skills to incite change. As far as my hobbies go, I enjoy listening to music and playing basketball.
Lydia Park
Treasurer
Lydia Park is from South Florida and is passionate about making a change and a positive difference within her community and beyond. She is a class of 2026 high school student who hopes to fundraise as much money as possible for the non-profit so that it can continue to provide valuable resources and support to victims of human trafficking. As a treasurer, she has set ambitious goals for the organization's fundraising efforts whilst also managing and developing strategies for the financial aspects of it. She is also a dedicated volunteer and event coordinator for South Florida Tech for Seniors.
